Artist Statement
Through scenic skies and vibrant lands comes creations transposed through a vintage pen. Transcribed and alchemized from a future mind brings about a longing and desiring for a metamorphosis of old visuals. Altering the feeling of nostalgia from retro periods; manifesting them onto a postmodern canvas. I create art that has a vintage guise with futuristic components intertwined. My art is a blend of illustration and graphic; designs of old placed into future spaces. A fully formed aesthetic of science fiction, yet with just a little contradiction; showcasing an era yet to come through elements of what has been, seen in a new light of Retrofuturism.
Artist Bio
I’ve been creating art for most of my life. Throughout middle and high school is when I really started getting interested in art; I took all the art classes and honors art classes. After high school, I went to Allegany College of Maryland and earned my associate of art in art, then I obtained my bachelor of fine arts in art & design from Frostburg State University. My first full-time job as a graphic designer was at The Final Touch Embroidery & Screenprint. Currently, I work full-time at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College as the Marketing/Graphic Designer.
